Based in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, VIRA PUMPS is an established Indian pump and motor company offering submersible pumps, motors and related spares for international markets. Products are supplied under the VIRA brand, as well as under OEM and private-label arrangements.

Our engineering heritage began in Kolhapur in 1949, when our family enterprise started manufacturing and repairing induction motors for industrial and domestic applications. Over successive generations, this expertise expanded into the design and manufacture of submersible pumps and motors. Some products manufactured by our earlier generations remain operational even after more than 30 years—a reflection of their robust engineering and workmanship.
As product technologies and international-market requirements evolved, we developed a network of specialised manufacturing partners. Today, VIRA products are manufactured and assembled at multiple specialised locations according to our designs, technical specifications and quality requirements. Products can also be customised to meet the performance, material and application requirements of individual importers.
International marketing and exports are managed through Vasant Electro Mech India, our associated export enterprise.
